Organic cashews are kidney shaped seeds of the cashew apple (the fruit of the cashew tree). Cashews are rich with antioxidants. They also have a lower fat content than most other nuts, and the majority of the fat content (oleic acid) is the same heart-healthy monounsaturated fat found in olive oil. Studies show that oleic acid promotes good cardiovascular health and reduces the risk of heart disease. All raw nuts sold by Azure are considered to be bulk ingredients that will be subject to further processing and/or packaging. Ingredients that are processed and non-processed (raw) are not intended for consumption until the customer has conducted a thorough hazard analysis.
