AMERICAN FIBER - BFL FINGERING YARN

It's toothy, great for stitch definition and has the sheepy farm yarn tweedy feel. From a Michigan farm, this Blue Faced Leicester yarn draws the tweedy characteristic from the long staple length. Giving it durability and strength with a nice catch for knitting colorwork. The stitch definition is terrific. While not our softest of yarns (that's the 18 micron rambouillet) it is spectacular for holding your cables in place, stranded and mosaic colorwork and felting. Never super washed, the yarn in this collection has been naturally mordanted to lock in the color as much as possible. Spinning oils from the mill have been removed using plant based laundry soap. We then hand dye it ourselves using sustainably harvested plants, insects & food waste.
