Soul's Abyss - Original

36" by 48" acrylic on canvas The Soul’s Abyss follows the painting Take Her There. The abyss is the separation between the human and horse. In this piece the horse is leaving the girl behind in the ocean so she can dive deep and explore the emotions of grief. The horse is relucent to go but knows it is best. The girl is afraid of diving deep and having to do this alone. It’s a painful beautiful separation. But also represents an ending and a beginning to a completely new life.
