Olive Nerite Snails (Neritina reclivata)

Olive nerite snails (Neritina reclivata) are largely considered one of the best snails, if not THE best, snail for algae control in freshwater and brackish aquariums. They are very hardy and can tolerate a wide variety of water parameters, although they can be sensitive to high nitrate levels. Olive nerite snails only reproduce in saltwater so their populations are easy to manage unlike some other aquarium snails that can become overpopulated.
