Red-eared sliders (Trachemys scripta elegans) are an attractive and popular subspecies of pond slider originally native to the southeastern and midwestern United States. Red-eared sliders are one of the most recognizable and popular pet reptiles in the world, which has led to them becoming invasive throughout much of the United States and even having established populations throughout the world, so please NEVER release them! Their popularity is no surprise as these turtles are hardy, beautiful, and full of personality.  Please keep in mind that these turtles can live up to 30 years and can grown anywhere from 6”-11”+ with females typically being larger than males.  They will need a large, well-filtered aquarium or tub if kept indoors and a secure, escape-proof enclosure/pond if kept outdoors. These juveniles are currently feeding on ZooMed baby turtle pellets, f/t bloodworms, chopped nightcrawlers, duckweed, and small crickets. Red-eared sliders are omnivores and should be given a varied diet throughout their life.  Currently available specimens are captive bred and born 2024 hatchlings.  No Sales To: CT, VA, OR. Please know your state laws! (Florida allows for albino and morph RES).  DISCLAIMER: All turtles and tortoises with a shell length under 4" are sold for educational, scientific/research, and export purposes only!
