It was born from the same natural fit and feel of the Fuji single weave gi, but enhanced in both construction and design. Fuji's 2.0 version uses an improved thicker collar and special seam reinforcements. The Pearl Weave utilized provides added resistance to tear while also adding a bit of thickness to the Gi itself. The result is a mid-weight gi that is not too thin and not too thick. Updated by Fuji to now meet all tournament requirements. The previous version of the Kassen wasn't allowed in some competitions, such as the prestigious IBJJF Worlds or Pan Ams, due to the positioning of some Kassen patches.
