B.A. '78 (College of Liberal Arts)Alumni Association Member About Sewist SueCreative sewing is a passionate theme in Sue Hall’s life. As a child and young teen she sat with both of her grandmothers, closely observing their skills with Scandinavian needlework and clothing construction, while gaining an appreciation for small details and fine textiles. Sue enjoyed sewing most of her clothing during high school and college. After initially considering a major in home economics, she studied child psychology during undergraduate years at the University of Minnesota graduating with a B.A. in ‘78 . Sue’s sewing passion expanded into quilting and home decor sewing for the next several decades. Her professional career included nine years working in the corporate world, followed by eight years at home caring for her young children while completing a Master’s Degree in Education. Finally, twenty years teaching as an elementary educator brought her to retirement, allowing dreams of professional se
