GeoSeeker Mini Underground Water and Cavefinder by OKM Highlights Geoelectric water and cavity detector: Determines the ground resistance up to a depth of 100m (328 feet) and visualizes the measured values in 2D Depth: Customers found water up to 100 meters deep – check our references for more information Use cases: Water detection, cavity detection, geotechnical engineering Operating modes: Geoelectrical scan Detectable objects: Water deposits, water-bearing gravel, cavities Warranty: 2-year limited warranty included automatically Like its big brother, the OKM GeoSeeker, the OKM GeoSeeker Mini utilizes a geoelectrical measurement procedure based on Schlumberger. The water detector – which can also be used to detect underground cavities – determines the soil’s resistivity. Based on those ground resistance values, the detector is able to detect underground water resources like freshwater, drinking water, water-bearing gravel, and groundwater level. Due to the fact that underground water has very good conductivity, you can conclude that very bad conductivity may indicate hidden cavities like caves, tunnels, chambers, and underground rooms. Thus, the geophysical detector OKM GeoSeeker Mini can be deployed as a water finder and a cavity detector at the same time. The water detector OKM GeoSeeker Mini is operated via touchscreen. You will select the measurement depth as well as the number of scanning points and simply follow the graphical instructions. Due to its reliance on easy-to-understand images and icons, the OKM GeoSeeker Mini is multilingual in using pure picture language. During measurement, the electrodes have to be replaced several times to measure the ground resistance in certain places. All instructions are easily readable on the color display where results are presented after every single scan. At the very end of a measurement, the final result is shown as a graphical 2D scan image. After finishing a geoelectrical measurement the final result is calculated according to special formulas to generate a representative 2D scan image of the underground resistivity. Depending on the selected depth penetration, you can detect underground water deposits and cavities of up to a maximum of 100 meters (328 feet) deep. If you require a water detector that measures even deeper, we recommend out take a look at its bigger brother, the OKM GeoSeeker, which can measure up to 250 meters (820 feet) deep. The geoelectrical detector OKM GeoSeeker Mini can be used to detect underground water resources as well as hidden cavities. Both structures can be located due to the specific characteristics of electrical resistivity. Water Detection Underground water resources have good electrical conductivity and measuring their resistivity will result in low resistance values. This capability is especially useful for: Dowsers, water finders Well builders, drilling companies Agriculture, fruit growing Mining, building contractors Detectable subsurface water deposits could be: Ground water level Fresh water, drinking water Underground watercourse, water veins Underground water streams, headwaters Cavity Detection Hidden cavities and hollow spaces have a rather poor electrical conductivity and measuring their resistivity will result in high resistance values. This capability of cavity detection is especially useful for: Archaeologists, historians Treasure hunters Geotechnical engineers Military services Building contractors Detectable subsurface cavities could be: Caves, tunnels Galleries and manholes Chambers, sepulchers, tombs Bunkers, vaults, cellars, rooms Operation of the OKM GeoSeeker Mini Water and Cavity Detector The OKM GeoSeeker Mini water detector is operated via its touch screen. You will select the measurement depth as well as the number of scan points and simply follow the graphical instructions that appear. Due to the use of easy-to-understand images and icons, the OKM GeoSeeker Mini is truly multilingual, relying on pure image language. During measurement, electrodes must be replaced several times to measure ground resistance in certain locations. All instructions can be read off the color screen where results are instantly presented after each individual scan. At the end of a measurement, the final result is displayed as a graphical 2D scan image. Graphical visualization of water resources and cavities data After finishing a geoelectric measurement, the final result is calculated according to special formulas to generate a 2D scan image representative of the underground resistivity. Depending on the penetration depth selected, you will be able to detect groundwater deposits and cavities up to a maximum of 100 meters (328 feet). If you need a water detector that measures far deeper, we recommend you take a closer look at its big brother, the OKM GeoSeeker, which can measure up to 250 meters (820 feet) deep. Geoelectric applications of the OKM GeoSeeker Mini The OKM GeoSeeker Mini geoelectric detector can be used to detect groundwater resources and hidden cavities. Both structures can be located due to specific electrical resistivity characteristics. Water Detection Groundwater resources have good electrical conductivity, therefore measuring their resistivity will result in low resistance values. This water detection capability is particularly useful for dowsers, water seekers, well constructors, drilling companies, agriculture, fruit farming, miners, and construction contractors. Detectable subsurface water reservoirs could be groundwater level, freshwater, drinking water, groundwater course, water veins, groundwater streams, headwaters, and cavity detection. Hidden cavities and hollow spaces have rather poor electrical conductivity, therefore measuring their resistivity will result in high resistance values. This cavity detection capability is especially useful for archaeologists, historians, treasure hunters, geotechnical engineers, military services, and construction contractors. Detectable subsurface cavities might include caves, tunnels, galleries and wells, chambers, graves, tombs, bunkers, vaults, cellars, and rooms.
