A textural study in tonal dimensionality, in shades of black, white, and taupe. Multiple forms occupy distinct planes, layered one in front of the other—led by a central group of seemingly embossed polygons that resemble shapes cut out of corrugated cardboard. The trio appears to float forward from the painting and cast dark shadows of charcoal. Signed by the unknown artist in the lower right corner. An unframed acrylic on canvas. The edges have been painted black on all four sides to encourage frameless presentation.
