Cloud Goblets

Make your evening cocktail extra dreamy with these magical one of a kind, hand sculpted goblets! The bases are ceramic and the tops are borosilicate glass, both sculpted by hand and joined with a high strength glue. These are surprising light and well balanced to hold! To make these, I start by sculpting the bases- I try to make these a little lumpy and irregular reminiscent of a cloud shape! After their first fire, I use an airbrush to highlight the peaks and valleys with several colors of glaze, aiming to make the color shifts look like rainbow prisms, Then they are fired again! I then take the finished bases to my glass studio, and blow the tops to perfectly fit each base so the proportions and shape are good. After the glass is annealed, the pieces are attached together. I aim to make each one special - both to look at and in your hand.
