Bette Bright And The Illuminations "Some Girls Have All The Luck" Single (1981)
Details: Used 7" record by England's Bette Bright (Bette also played or worked with Gruppo Sportivo, Deaf School, Sex Pistols, Madness and later, Tim Finn). She also appeared in the Malcolm McLaren Sex Pistols movie, "The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle." This cool single from her solo LP Rhythm Breaks The Ice also had multiple bizarre connections: (1) Some Girls Have All The Luck was later re-written and polished to be debuted as Some Guys Have All The Luck for Rod Stewart (2) On the album Rhythm Breaks The Ice, Shoorah Shoorah (an Allen Toussaint penned song) was originally sung by Soul and R&B singer Betty Wright, and (3) on the full-length where the single came from, there is also a Prince cover of When You Were Mine.
