It belongs to the Asparagaceae or Asparagus family of plants. It is native to Mexico and planted as an ornamental plant. It travelled throughout the globe since 17th century and used in perfume making for a very long time. It is also known as ‘Mistress of Night’, ‘Night Queen’ and ‘Raat Ki Rani’ in Hindi. Tuberose is extremely famous for its floral, sweet and intense aroma, it is made into garland
