Random Light II

Twenty years later, the Random Light is as relevant and eye-catching as ever. To honour the extraordinary designs in our collection, we further improve our Moooi Originals. Together with designer Bertjan Pot, we updated the Random Light with better user-experience and the original idea as the key focus. The Random Light II is an aesthetically perfected and user-friendly design, with an enlarged life cycle. The production process is a special story by itself: a resin drained yarn is randomly coiled around an inflatable beach ball creating a translucent 3D fabric. After deflating, the beach ball is extracted from the round opening in the design and the shade is left to dry. Because of how they’re made, every Random Light is unique and never completely round. The Random Light II is a contemporary design that brings a feeling of simplicity and softness into any home. The Random Light family comes in black and white.
