As a server, your work is a reflection of good character! Well, there was someone else who also served us well—Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself says in Matthew 20:28, “The Son of Man [Jesus] did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Pretty interesting. We all get the first part—He served people by teaching them, healing them, and performing other miracles. But the second part? He gave his life a ransom for many? What is THAT about? The Bible tells us that we can be certain of going to Heaven. However, to get into a perfect Heaven, we must be perfect also. The problem is that none of us are perfect; we have all done things wrong. The good news is that God loves us so much that He made a way for us to get into Heaven in spite of our sin.
