The Forever Chapter (NIV)

When a Brother or Sister in the wind passes away, I have heard that he or she joined the Forever Chapter.It’s almost like we believe they are all in one place and are all better off. Friend, I really wish it were so. But the fact of the matter is they are in one of two Forever Chapters.One is Forever Heaven and the other Forever Hell. Like the names imply, these are forever. You can never retire out or change chapters. Once you are in, it is final!Hebrews 9:27 “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”I have often heard Brothers joke about the Forever Chapter being Hell and they will all see each other there and party and ride together forever. According to the Word of God, Hell is no party and no ride, but most certainly is forever.Luke 16:23 “In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up.”Mark 9:48 “Where ‘the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.’”Revelation 14:11 “And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever.
