The theme was "athletic moments in history" & I chose to depict Florence Griffith-Joyner 'Flo Jo' on her knuckles in blocks with her iconic nails. This piece is especially important to me because she paved the way for Black women track stars & even though I was a distance runner, her presence was felt.
