Embroidery on Knits Workshop - October 21st

Tuesday, October 21st from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm  Instructor: Erin  Come spend an afternoon learning how to embroider on your knits with Erin. We'll go over techniques for embroidering with and on wool from Judit Gummlich's gorgeous book Embroidery on Knits, from planning to finished object. The second half of the afternoon, we will spend time practicing a handful of stitches to embellish a pair of simple mittens - a great gift for the holidays.   Supplies (not included in class price): - Embroidery on Knits by Judit Gummlich - Tapestry needle - Pencil for tracing patterns - Scissors - Tape measure Supplies (included in class price) - Emma's Mitts pattern - Embroidery hoop - Water soluble embroidery stabilizer  - Yarn scraps for embroidery  Pre-work: - Completed Emma's Mitts in solid color worsted weight yarn - washed and blocked, but do not seam! -or-   - Large swatch in a solid color worsted yarn (at least 7 inches square)  Full payment is needed to reserve your space.
