Randall Dunn – Beloved LP

If you loved the Mandy soundtrack then we definitely recommend you check this album out! Beloved is deep, dark, and absolutely incredible. It features Zola Jesus and designs by Stephen O’Malley. Aside from co-producing the soundtrack of Mandy, Randall Dunn has also collaborated with such acts as Wolves In The Throne Room and Boris. Following a turbulent period of change and loss, the esteemed producer channeled his energies into a seven-song meditation sessions, which he describes as exploring “anxiety, paranoia, different shades of love, different realizations of mortality, [and] how it can make you feel the stages of your life more deeply.” With Beloved, Dunn shifts his knack for emphasizing the human component of music toward mining emotional resonance from the subtle details and textures generated from early digital and analog synthesizers.
