ISSH is an incense brand born in Japan. The brand was born out of a desire to add the value of time to the enjoyment of fragrance and to make the same time even more profound. Incense has been associated with time since ancient times. Monks used to measure time with incense sticks when they practiced zazen (Zen meditation). The unit of time is called “shu,” and the time for one incense stick is counted as “isshu”. With this historical background, we wanted to create a product that would be accepted in modern society and redefine incense.
