Origin: Mediterranean Circa: c. 1st Century ADDimensions: 6.75" Height x 15" Width x .75" Depth (17.1 cm x 38 cm x 1.9 cm)Medium: Marble A beautiful and masterfully carved dedicatory plaque, this marble panel features an inscription executed on a piece of warm brown marble with touches of creme, tan, and caramel highlights.  It features a border of gently undulating waves and sharp lines at both the top and sides with diagonal notches along the lower edge.  The four lines of Latin text read, 'To Caius Geminus Apseustus, [from] Geminia Chrysis [as his wife] to her patron and for herself and her family.'
