Physical Description of Crystal: Sodalite is most commonly found in deep blue, it is also found in various shades of blue, yellow, green, and even pink. Sodalite typically has blotches or veins of white and pink. Certain varieties of Sodalite are UV reactive. Sodalite and Lapis Lazuli often get confused, as they are both beautiful shades of blue. Some differences include: Lapis Lazuli is ALWAYS opaque and Sodalite CAN be translucent. Sodalite pieces typically have a more blotchy appearance in the blue coloring as opposed to Lapis Lazuli usually being a more consistent color due it being more fine-grained. One major distinction is the pyrite found within the Lapis Lazuli.
