Wavellite is a very fascinating mineral that is a favorite amongst collectors for its wonderful shape and structure! Sometimes it forms in beautiful, bubbly greens like these here. One of the most desirable traits is the fibrous little crystals forming starburst like sprays! Named in 1805 in honor of Dr. William Wavell, who had discovered and described the mineral.
