Flush AVL - Tote Bag - Asheville Strong

Flush AVL: Providing Essential Water Relief for Western North Carolina Flush AVL was born out of necessity following Tropical Storm Helene, which left Asheville without running water. North Asheville residents Elle and Buddy DeBruhl, with support from co-founder Molly Black and a team of volunteers, quickly launched a grassroots effort to provide non-potable flushing water to vulnerable populations. Using large industrial containers known as IBC totes, the team filled and distributed water to neighborhoods, low-income housing, veterans' homes, and nursing facilities. Partnering with organizations like Highland Brewing, BeLoved Asheville, and Plenty.org, Flush AVL grew rapidly and distributed 400 totes around the city. Now, with Asheville’s water restored, Flush AVL is shifting its focus to support communities in Western North Carolina still struggling from the storm's aftermath.
