You can tell from the outset that Beanspire faced an uphill battle, yet they are still producing exceptional coffee. Like our friends at Cedro Alto, who supply some of our Colombian coffees, Beanspire is a Thai-only collective that works hands-on with farmers to help them access international specialty markets. At Mostra, instead of focusing on self-promotion through specific trade types or certifications, we prioritize making the biggest impact by sourcing the best coffee available. This coffee hails from the Doi Phu Khaa region, specifically from the Gem Forest coffee mill in Nan Province near the Laos border. The mill is operated by Kaleb Jordan, who grew up in this region with his American-born parents. After university, he returned to his hometown, looking for ways to support the local villages, and improving coffee crops and their distribution became his calling.
