Diemer], 1511Size 7 1/2 by 11 1/4"Title in red and black with large, hand-colored woodcut by Hans Burgkmaier, 5 unnumbered leaves of index, and 80 unnumbered leaves. Half pigskin with manuscript title over original hand tooled dark brown calf over wooden boards  Interior of the front cover covered with a fragment of a medieval parchment manuscript. Cover with  scratches and rubbing, lacks clasps- VD16 G-772. Adams G-318 -First edition, published posthumously by Geiler's secretary Jacob Otter. The first German edition was not published until 1514, also by Otmar in Augsburg. The very beautiful title woodcut by Burgkmair, which is presented here in a well-colored copy, shows Geiler preaching on the upper deck of a ship. Good
