RED lenses are 80-90% less bright because human eyes can not see red colors as well as other colors on the visible spectrum. We always suggest using a clear lens for best results. What It Is This 3" pod has an extremely narrow white light output. The beam that comes out of this pod is NOT a laser. However, the light source deep inside this pod uses a laser diode phosphorus combination to safely create a narrow white beam. At only 1000lumens, this beam is safe to use outdoors.
