The author takes the reader from the 1751 sighting of the lake by Christopher Gist through the ownership of Mary Moody Northen. Documented information is presented in a chronological order, with additional material accompanying each era. The book is a compilation of information from interviews, research, and donated photographs. Over 100 photos and illustrations give a visual interpretation of the past.
