The Guardian. 12x24" Wood Panel in handmade frame

Impressionist landscape , mixed media painting. 12x24" panel in a handmade solid wood frame. I created this painting while considering the magical and mystical nature of trees. They've endured, outlived and protected humanity since time began. What evolved in this piece reminded me of a tree from a fairy tale — something children and adults alike could look at and feel a level of enchantment. This style and method of painting has been uniquely created by the artist. It utilizes acrylic media, metal leaf and mica to give a reflective finish that changes depending on the light in the room and the position of the viewer.
