It was first chosen as the image to promote the publication of the book "Ten Haikï" (Japanese poems)in 1983. Several proofs printed at the time without text, were later reused for this small edition to promote an exhibition of Mourlot Lithographs in the town hall of Souillac-en-Quercy, France, in 1985. The subject, which is a green field of rice with a single pine tree, was inspired by a Haiku (poem) from the Japanes writer Shiki. Ed. 2000 + 500.
