Although SAW's stranglehold on the top of the charts (Bananarama, Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, etc.) was weakening by mid-1989, the writer/producers still had enough commercial mojo to give Summer her first platinum album and hit singles in years.The charting "This Time I Know It's for Real" and "Love's About to Change My Heart" are terrific slices of late '80s soul-pop. While this album, oddly, sounds more dated now than Summer's '70s disco classics, it's still a fine example of '80s dance pop, and a rare chance to hear SAW's music
