This edition of the GREATEST JOURNEYS series takes viewers off the beaten path for a unique journey through Spain. This one-hour documentary aims to do what more traditional sight-seeing programs cannot by exposing viewers to lesser-known aspects of Spanish culture. Rather than focusing on the popular sights expected of a typical travel itinerary, JOURNEYS takes detours in hopes of highlighting the country's idiosyncrasies. A large portion of the program takes place in Barcelona, the capitol of Catalonia. Barcelona is undeniably one of the most beautiful cities in the world, boasting stunning architecture in both Gothic and Art Nouveau styles. JOURNEYS THROUGH THE LANDS OF THE BUILDERS gives viewers a real feel for Catalan culture through street festivals and celebrations of folklore tradition.
