True, there is little here to truly compete with his best-remembered oldies, but the sheer solidity and strength of his pen have not been dented by the intervening years, a point that is almost belabored by the sheer majesty of the opening "Three Days in Heaven." An eponymous tribute to "Judy Garland," and another to his father, "This Is Me," both bathe in sheer elegance, while the Latin-flavored "Someday" also plays around the parental relationship.
