Old Swimmin' Hole

Ezra (Charles Ray) is a country schoolboy who has a crush on the class vamp Myrtle (Laura La Plante). When she rejects him, Ezra's broken heart is mended by Esther (Marjorie Prevost). Esther shares her picnic basket with Ezra, who soon realizes Esther is the girl for him. Other subplots concern the activities of the student, and Ezra's rivalry with Skinny (Lincoln Stedman). The film is unique because of the absence of subtitles to explain the action. The technique does not deter from the effectiveness of the story.
