Rather, he's a modern-day R&B Love Man. He even goes so far as to quote the master Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" on "Supa Sexy." Like Gaye, he's got a smooth, supple tenor whose gentle, crooning quality seems ostensibly at odds with the unabashed carnality of his subject matter. Of course, that's just what supplies the necessary contrast and tension that keep things interesting throughout the album. And when it comes to fixation on getting down and dirty, Tank is perhaps even more single-minded than Marvin, as in the seductive "My Place" and the mission statement of "One Man."
