Marcel Carne directed. A.k.a. "Port of Shadows." The screenplay was written by Jacques Prevert, who also collaborated with Carne on "Daybreak" (1936) and "Children of Paradise" (1946). The costumes were designed by an uncredited Coco Chanel.
