Liner Note Author: Mark Brennan .Those looking for a sprinkle of glitter to go with their classic pop might take a shot at Chicory Tip. The band were a rare hybrid in the seventies: a glam band whose music stylings seemed far closer to '60s acts like the Hollies than T. Rex. While this somewhat odd combination never made Chicory Tip superstars in their heyday, there are several collections that attest to the band's talents and likability. A band that comes off as Gary Glitter fronting the Dave Clark Five isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if it's yours, this is an excellent place for a taste.
