Interspersed between the manic riffing and blastbeats are cold, eerie passages straight out of a horror-film soundtrack, which fits the lyrics perfectly. Sonically, Deceased temper their death-metal fury with a love for old-school thrash, which actually works well for them, keeping the music from getting too cartoonish. Overall, it's one of the band's better efforts. ~ Steve Huey
