TV Eyes' lone self-titled release was destined for cult fandom from the very beginning. A collaboration between former Jellyfish members Jason Falkner and Roger Joseph Manning, Jr. along with drummer Brian Reitzell, who spent time with both Redd Kross and Air, TV Eyes' pedigree was rich with pop greatness. The genesis of the band dates back to 2000 when Reitzell and Manning were composing a score to an imaginary film called Logan's Sanctuary, a fake sequel to the 1976 sci-fi flick Logan's Run. At Manning's suggestion, they brought in Falkner to sing and play guitar on a couple of tracks, and the former Jellyfish mates' chemistry gelled with Reitzell's own musical sensibilities.
