Patchwork with Rose Ponizil - Placemats and Coasters

Ever wonder what to do with leftover fabric scraps? Patchwork is a beautiful way to transform them into something new while enjoying a calming, meditative practice that encourages creative flow. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn essential patchwork techniques, including how to make: • A “log cabin” block • A checkered design (the fast and easy way!) Once you’ve settled on a design, we’ll turn your patchwork into: • A placemat AND/OR • Drink coasters All materials are provided, and you’ll have the opportunity to create your own unique placemat and/or coasters. You’re welcome to make as many pieces as you’d like during this three-hour session. This workshop is perfect for beginners, as well as those with some sewing experience who want a refresher. While similar to our Intro to Sewing class, this session focuses more on creativity, color, and composition rather than technical skills. Experienced sewists are welcome too! Age 16 and up.
