The Indefatigable Sphinx
Escape to the curious world of The Indefatigable Sphinx. This surreal piece of wearable artwork was designed for us by Edward Carvalho-Monaghan. You can read the time on its psychedelic landscape, as long as you know where to look: To find the hour, look to the window on the right of the dial. Each hour the digit will change, some numbers are bold and colourful, while others are more cryptic. At the same time, you'll notice the winged sphinx gets a new head, giving you an alternative way to view the different hours of the day. The minute and seconds hands work in the usual way, subtle design cues within the artwork act as markers for reading the position of the hands. Each watch is powered by a beautiful Swiss made Sellita movement, with a jump hour module that was designed by Johannes Jahnke for Christopher Ward. Edward describes his eye-catching watch design: “The watch depicts a surreal, dreamlike landscape. This space exists both outside time and at all possible moments in time sim
