Acer truncatum 'Urban Sunset®'  Red Fall Color  Shantung Maple Zones 5-9 Acer truncatum x 'Urban Sunset' is a compact, upright tree with a narrow, pyramidal shape. It forms a naturally uniform canopy with minimal pruning and calipers well. This tree produces few seeds, making it ideal as a street tree. Its dark, glossy green leaves turn vibrant red in the fall, adding striking seasonal color. The Urban Sunset® Maple  typically reaches a height of about 20-25 ft and a width of 10-15 ft in 10 years. It has a relatively fast growth rate and maintains its narrow, upright, pyramidal form during this time, making it a great option for urban environments and smaller landscapes.
