MR2 Catch Can

Why it works The Racer X Fabrication Catch can for the 1991-1995 Toyota MR2 was designed to reduce oil in the air stream when exiting the PCV and crankcase. The catch can / air oil separator works by intercepting the air / oil from the PCV or crankcase, and through a series of filters and baffles, keeps the oil in the catch can and allows the air to flow through. As the air and oil droplets enter the catch can they first pass through a micron stainless steel sintered filter to begin the separation process. Oil that does pass this barrier is then forced downward to enter the internal baffle system. We specifically designed the baffles and perforation pattern to assist in allowing the air to flow freely and provide the oil every opportunity to stay in the catch can. Finally once through the internal baffle system, the air will pass through a micron filter before exiting back into the vehicle system.
