The Highland Light Solo for French Horn and Piano

The Highland Light is a solo for French Horn and Piano from the collection Scenes from the Cape.  This collection is dedicated to my brother, Jerry Nelson, who was a musician and puppeteer with the Muppets.  This MRNS Music Digital Download will include the French Horn and Piano parts, a brief description of the solo, an MP3 accompaniment file, and a SmartMusic file. Description:  The Highland Light, located in North Truro, is the oldest and tallest lighthouse on Cape Cod. It is still active today.  This solo is meant to be like a jig, and though it is written in alternating 5/8 and 6/8 time signatures (with one 3/8 bar thrown in) the rhythms are easy to feel for the students.
