Muller Frères Luneville Woodland Vase
This beautiful cameo art glass vase is an exceptional work from the acclaimed Muller Frères glassworks. Demonstrating the glassmaker's profound affinity for nature, intricate depictions of vines, leaves, floral blossoms, delicate butterflies and woodland forms adorn its surface. Enhanced by a gracefully elongated neck—a testament to exceptional glass craftsmanship—the vase captivates with its deep red and orange hues and meticulous detail achieved through the highly specialized acid-etching technique for which Muller Frères was renowned. Established in Lunéville, France, Muller Frères consisted of a group of brothers who had learned their trade from the great French glassmaker Émile Gallé. From 1895 to the 1930s, the brothers produced luxurious glass objects in the Art Nouveau style, and they developed rapidly into a company celebrated for their creative innovation and superior quality.
