Agoudal Meteorite Specimen

Found in the year 2000, in Meknes-Tafilalet, Morocco, the Agoudal meteorite is a fascinating IIAB iron meteorite. Often found in small, shrapnel-like specimens, the total known mass of this meteorite is no more than 100kg, making it a relatively small find. Also known as the Imilchil meteorite, the Agoudal meteorite was discovered in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, near Agoudal. Pieces of this meteorite tend to exhibit a more weathered and smooth surface compared to some other iron meteorites due to their composition, as well as the environment in which they made landfall. Display boxes are 1" cubes.
