Muonionalusta Meteorite Slice w/Troilite

The Muonionalusta meteorite is one of the most significant meteorites on record. One of the oldest meteorites ever unearthed, the Muonionalusta is estimated to have formed in the iron core of a planetoid over 4.5 billion years ago, while the Earth was still in early development. It is believed that the Muonionalusta meteorite made landfall on our planet as early as 1 million B.C.E., weathering four separate ice ages before being discovered by a 10 year-old Scandinavian farm boy in 1906.
