Once a worker falls and activates the lanyard, the shock pack tears in a controlled action and extends and absorbs energy during the fall, ultimately limiting fall arrest forces to safe levels. This lanyard has self-locking steel rebar hooks with large gate openings, and a self-locking snap hook at the center for harness attachment. This twin-leg lanyard provides 100% tie-off compliance and should work fluidly with the worker's movement to avoid being counterproductive.
