Guatemala- Blue Ayarza

High up in Santa Rosa, farmers bring their harvest to the shores of a volcanic crater lake called Laguna de Ayarza. The lake is steeped in legend — some say it’s bottomless, others tell of a white rock that was once a woman turned to stone. What’s certain is that the volcanic soils and high elevation create a terroir that gives this coffee its depth and sweetness. Families deliver cherry to a Rainforest Alliance–certified mill, where it’s dried with care and consistency. Sourced via our partners at Covoya, this project also helps fund schools and health clinics in the community. Blue Ayarza is a coffee that feels both grounded and a little magical — a reminder that stories and landscapes can live in the cup.
