History of the jewelry The court jeweler Carl Fabergé and his artisans created sumptuous eggs for the Russian and European nobility, as well as for Fabergé's own shops. In 1886, he was annually commissioned by the Russian Tsar, Alexander III, to produce eggs for the Imperial family. These imaginative eggs were crafted in gold and silver and were richly decorated with enamel, precious and semi-precious stones. Our miniature egg pendant is inspired by these original creations.
