I first fell in love with the walrus through a sketch I saw of one, then by drawing them myself. So solid, so soft, and those two magnificent tusks! Then, as I connected the drawing to some thoughts I was exploring... in came the northern lights! I love imagining the walrus rising from the sea to their palace of ice. I love imagining all of us setting everything down to become a brief, spectacular moment under an incandescent sky.
